6U SOFTBALL

LEARN THE GAME.

BUILD CONFIDENCE.

HAVE FUN.

A Great First Step

into Softball

Our 6U program is the perfect introduction to softball for young players who are learning the game for the first time. The focus is on having fun, building confidence, learning fundamental skills, and experiencing what it means to be part of a team.

SLPFA 6U teams participate in the Plymouth Wayzata Youth Softball Association (PWYSA) recreational league, competing against teams from Plymouth, Wayzata, Hopkins, and the surrounding area.

Practices begin in early May, with games starting in mid-May. Throughout the season, coaches introduce the fundamentals of hitting, throwing, catching, fielding, and base running through age-appropriate drills, games, and activities.

Most importantly, we want every player to have a positive first experience with softball and leave the season excited to keep playing.
