• January 30, 2022: Registration Opens
• February 28: Last day for early bird registration – save money on registration fees!
• March 18, 2022: Registration Closes
• March 19, 2022: Late fee for Registration begins
• Early April 2022: Teams formed
• Mid April, 2022: Coaches reach out to players and families regarding practice days and time, game dates, and what tournaments throughout the summer the girls will be participating in.
• May 1-7, 2022: First games begin
• May 21-22, 2022: Oriole’s Opener Tournament (10U+)
• June 25-26 2022: State Qualifiers (if qualifies)
• July 9-10, 2022: Minnesota Softball Tournament (if qualifies)
• July 23-24, 2022: MONSTA Championships (if qualifies)
• Early August, 2022: NAFA Tournament (if qualifies)

WINTER CLINICS

Winter Development Clinics:

We are hosting winter development clinics for all ages at the SLP Activity Center for all ages and skill levels. Girls are able to work on hitting, defense and mechanics. Clinics will go through April 10th. Cost is $100 for all 14 sessions. Look for emails to sign up, space is limited. These clinics are not required for the summer season.

Clinic Dates (nominal fee for clinics):

• Sunday, January 9th – Sunday, April 10th
  • 1:00 – 2:00 12U+
  • 2:00 – 3:00 10U and lower

HELPFUL 2022 SEASON INFORMATION

WHAT AGE GROUP DO I SIGN MY CHILD UP FOR?
You will sign your child up according to the year she is born in. For example, if your daughter was born in 2013, she would register for 8U. 

WHEN ARE PRACTICES/GAMES? 

Regular season games are typically held Monday through Friday for most age groups. Coaches will be notifying you of when practice days and time and when games will occur. Look for more information once teams are formed and coaches are identified in April.

HOW LONG IS THE SEASON?
The season begins May 1 and typically goes through mid-July for most teams. The season may be extended due to qualifying for certain tournaments.

WILL I NEED TO VOLUNTEER?
To continue to keep costs down, we require parents/caregivers to volunteer their time. We will be asking for help at our various tournaments and events throughout the summer. When going through the registration process, you will have options to coach, assist with tournaments, or to pay a fee to not volunteer.

COVID-19 guidance from the MN Department of Health (MDH) and the CDC continues to evolve daily.  If new MDH or CDC guidance were to change any plans or dates for our Winter Clinics and/or the Summer Softball Season, the SLPFPA board will communicate out additional information to all participants who have registered.
